Will Rudd (retired), started as a self-employed consultant in 1978, expanding to form Will Rudd Associates Ltd in 1982, working mainly on Structural and Civil Engineering projects in Scotland. It was at this stage our current Managing Director in Glasgow; Brian Walker joined the company as a Technician.
Will Rudd Associates grew steadily during the 80’s and 90’s, with Stewart Davidson being appointed Production Director in 1992. Our current Managing Director in Edinburgh, Angus Roxburgh, joined us in 1994 as a Project Engineer.
Brian and Angus quickly joined and greatly strengthened the Management Team, which led to the formation of Will Rudd Davidson with Stewart as Managing Director in early 2004.
In 2000, following a period of significant growth in our UK markets, we took the opportunity to open our Glasgow office through the purchase of Roxburgh & Partners. Roxburgh & Partners was formed in Glasgow in 1978 by Graham Roxburgh (Retired) with offices in Glasgow and Warrington, covering industrial, commercial and public projects all over the UK and in some cases overseas. It was also prominent in R&D for renewable energy and offshore oil handling. Our Glasgow office was spearheaded by Brian Walker, assisted by Colin Anderson (Retired) and has grown steadily in strength since its formation.
In 2011, Stewart Davidson retired from control of the company, which was taken up by Brian Walker in Glasgow and Angus Roxburgh in Edinburgh as ‘Joint Managing Directors’. They were joined by two new Directors in Edinburgh, promoted from within; Chris Milne in 2007, Craig Milne in 2011 and Gillian Cooke, Stephen Rudd and Michael John O’Shaughnessey in 2015 to support a continuously growing team.
