About: Stewart has 40 years experience in the Construction Industry, having worked previously, “through the ranks”, largely with national consulting engineers, but also in sub-contracting. He was first elected to Institution membership in 1974 and is a recent past committee member and university task group sub-committee member of the Institution of Structural Engineers – Scottish Branch.
He joined the Practice in 1988 progressing to Associate in 1990, Director level in 1992 and Managing Director in early 2004.
In his role as Managing Director, Stewart is responsible within the Practice for all commissions involving public/private works and all Framework/Term Commission appointments and oversees/co-ordinates our current Framework Commission Appointment with The City of Edinburgh Council. He also has “hands on” involvement from conception to completion for clients such as National Libraries, National Galleries and National Museums of Scotland, Scottish Court Services, Keyhaven Development, Whiteburn Properties, Places for People Group, Edinburgh and Dundee Universities, Historic Scotland etc.
He brings to his projects a proactive approach, and a “can do” attitude, with an offering to a project which relates and co-operates with others involvement. |
