Civil and Structural Project Technician (permanent)

Will Rudd Davidson is seeking a passionate, experienced civil and structural technician to join our well established engineering team in Dublin. Our team work on a wide variety of projects including; education, residential, health care, industrial, office, retail and hospitality.

Responsibilities

Assume lead for production of 3D models and associated 2D drawings for multiple projects.
Assume document controller responsibilities for projects.

Experience/attributes required

  • NFQ Level 6 or 7 Civil Engineering or relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with civil / structural consulting engineer.
  • Experience working with major structural materials including Steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
  • Experience in new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Contributes positively to team and embraces responsibility and knowledge progression.
  • Good communication skills; experience in working closely with in-house engineers as well as external parties; e.g. Architects, M&E engineers etc.
  • Passion for engineering, an eye for detail and can do attitude.
  • Pride in standard of work produced.
  • Understanding of Draughting principles.
  • Ability to problem solve and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ambitious with career.
  • AutoCAD working knowledge.
  • Revit working knowledge.
  • Microsoft Office working knowledge.

Experience/attributes desired

  • EngTech qualification with relevant professional institution.
  • Reinforced concrete detailing.
  • Roads and drainage.
  • Civil 3D.
  • CADS RC.
  • Working understanding of BIM processes.
  • Road Safety Audits Audit Team or Auditor experience

Intermediate to Senior level will be considered.
