We draw on a vast wealth of experience within our team, but also look to challenge accepted wisdom.  Through a clear knowledge of materials and structural forms, keen understanding of design codes of practice, and the ability to harness computational methods and analysis software, we provide elegant, economical and buildable structures. We are diligent in our pursuit of quality with structural safety at the heart of everything we do. We are registered with the Structural Engineers Registration Ltd (SER Ltd) scheme for the certification of design of building structures.

We have Approved Certifiers of Design across all of our teams, who remain close to the project delivery from start to finish.

We have delivered new build projects ranging from hotels, residential developments and leisure complexes to factories, commercial offices, museums and national monuments.

Many of our new build projects have been in complex city centre brown field gap sites, where the structural approach needed to be re-imagined. We believe in being fully engaged, active and visible throughout the development project. We relish the teamwork with Architects and other Consultants. We refuse to “work in silos” and feel we can share our wider experience and knowledge to the benefit of every project.
We consider ourselves not just as the Structural Engineer but as the Clients Trusted Advisor.

In refurbishments and conversion projects, we are used to getting the most out of existing structures, many of which have significant heritage value, and we also have Conservation Engineering in our DNA.

We carry out condition assessments and forensic investigations of existing building, and bring a hierarchy of risk approach, supporting our Clients in their economic stewardship of their building.
We also have a very successful specialist service in façade engineering and cold formed pressed metal system design.

We are excited about the challenges of unusual and novel structures, and have carried out structural designs on sculptures, ice climbing walls, skateparks. It’s never dull here at Will Rudd !!
