Award winning consulting engineers, Will Rudd, has appointed two new managing directors to lead its Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
The appointments of MJ O’Shaughnessy and Gillian Ogilvie mark a new chapter for the successful privately owned engineering consultancy which employs over 80 staff in Scotland and delivers contracts across the UK and Ireland.
Taking up the top post in the Glasgow practice, MJ O’Shaughnessy has risen up the ranks since he joined Will Rudd 11 years ago and has helped to expand the client portfolio in both public and private sectors. He is also credited with diversifying the Glasgow practice with projects across the residential, healthcare, education, energy and hospitality and specialist design and tall buildings sectors. As a Conservation Accredited Engineer (CARE), he has led many high-profile projects over his tenure.
Commenting on his appointment MJ said:

Taking the reins in the Edinburgh practice will be Gillian Ogilvie, who like her counterpart in Glasgow, has risen through the ranks having been with Will Rudd for 15 years and has played a key role in major projects in the Capital, including the redevelopment of iconic Usher Hall. Gillian has supported the development of the Edinburgh practice having built an impressive list of significant public sector projects during her tenure and will continue to build on this as the firm also expands its private sector portfolio.
On her appointment to the top job at the Will Rudd Edinburgh practice, Gillian said:

Both Gillian and MJ will continue to be collectively responsible for delivering a growth strategy for Will Rudd, leading expert teams whose collaborative approach support the delivery of creative solutions across a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on sustainability and blue-green project design and delivery.
They will be supported by Brian Walker, former Managing Director of the Glasgow Office who will continue to provide a valuable contribution to Will Rudd by moving into a part-time role as Creative Director involved in project piloting and will also retain a non-executive board position. Former managing director of the Edinburgh practice, Angus Roxburgh, will also continue to play a key role in client services on a consultancy basis.
